Underneath the classic copper burst finish, the 58 Longhorn Bass naturally hides the classic Danelectro construction that contributes significantly to its distinctive sound character. In addition to the short 29.75" scale length (756 mm), the bass guitar accordingly features a poplar body frame closed with Masonite panels. The distinctive Cutaways and slim C-profile also allow the four-bolt maple neck to be easily played up to the highest registers of the 24-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard.
Lipstick pickups with their own volume and tone controls promise characterful vintage sounds.
Lipstick pickup and stacked pots
Two Lipstick pickups are naturally responsible for the electrical sound conversion of the 58 Longhorn Bass Copper Burst, which has always been one of the unrecognizable features of the traditional company. At the bass amplifier, the electric bass guitar convinces with a sonorous sound that combines a rich low-end foundation with amazingly transparent highs and reacts with sensitive dynamics to the playing style. The tone can also be adjusted via the typical "stacked controls" for each pickup. While the discs at the bottom determine the volume, the white pointers regulate the treble content of the signal.
The "Coke Bottle" headstock of the Longhorn Bass carries small vintage-style tuners for accurate and stable tuning.

The bridge used is the traditional bridge with rosewood string rest, which supports the strong character sound of the E-Bass.
