Elektron's Digitone Keys is an eight-voice polyphonic digital synthesizer with a velocity-sensitive 37-key keyboard. The instrument corresponds 1:1 to the Digitone from the same manufacturer, now extends it by a velocity-sensitive 37-key keyboard with aftertouch, eight assignable encoders, pitch bend and modulation wheel as well as four stereo single outputs for the four internal synthesizer tracks.
Synthesis
The quadruple multitimbral synthesizer with eight voices has a rich selection of different FM algorithms to choose from. In addition, a multimode filter, a variable bandpass filter, overdrive and two freely assignable LFOs are integrated for each voice. The Digitone Keys provides 2048 memory locations for sounds.
Elektron Sequencer
Of course Digitone is equipped with electron sequencer. In functionality and operability of the sequencer, Elektron has set a standard by which everyone must measure themselves. Parameter locks as automation per step, sound or preset changes per step, are only the best known features. Four polyphonic sequencer tracks control the four synthesizer parts, another four tracks are intended as MIDI tracks for external equipment. In addition, a comprehensive arpeggiator is available for each track.
