As the largest model of the series, the Challenger 15A DSP from Fame is equipped with a 15" woofer with a 3" voice coil as well as a 1" compression driver. Compared to its little brother, the 12A, the speaker offers another significant performance boost towards a fully-fledged stand-alone PA solution.
In combination with the powerful Class-D + Class-AB power amplifier, the speaker reaches a peak power of 350 watts RMS at a maximum sound pressure level of 134 dB. With a frequency range of 42-19000 Hz, the Challenger 15A DSP can also be used to provide effective sound reinforcement for larger venues and open-air events without the need for an additional subwoofer.
Since its introduction, the Challenger series from Fame has stood for high-performance components, professional features and maximum mobility. The new Challenger DSP Series powered speakers are additionally equipped with a digital signal processor (DSP) that offers a choice of four presets to adjust the sound to any situation. Two XLR/jack combo jacks allow the use of line signals as well as direct operation with a dynamic microphone. The XLR output allows the sum signal to be played out to another speaker.
Application
The Fame Challenger 15A DSP can be used standing up or lying down thanks to the specially angled cabinet shape, which means that the speaker can also be used as a floor monitor. The robust and rugged plastic housing withstands the demanding stage use without any problems and predestines the speaker, thanks to modern lightweight construction, especially as a multifunctional solution for mobile use. Thanks to the integrated 35mm flange insert, the speaker can also be mounted on a conventional speaker stand.
