The Fender LTD Telecaster Custom Relic RW in Aged Frost Metallic is handcrafted by FenderCustom Shop master builders and combines elements of the classic Fender Telecaster Custom models of the early sixties. The Relic finish gives the Tele Custom authentic ageing and distinctive details with vintage character.
60s neck profile
Front and back of the ash body are cream-bound, typical of '60s Telecaster Custom models. The bolt-on neck made of toasted curly maple fits in the hand in the '60s Oval-C' profile, and the overlying rosewood fretboard provides optimal playing characteristics with a modern "9.5 radius and 21 Narrow Tall frets.
As a special highlight, the handmade pickups in neck and bridge position bring their own character
Equipment and hardware
Two hand-wiredpickups are responsible for the expressive Telecaster sound of the Fender LTD HS Tele Custom Relic RW AgedCharcoal Frost Metallic. In the neck position sits a humbucker, which was processed by FenderCustom store pickup specialist Josefina Campos. The twang is provided by a historically correct Custom Shop Texas Special single coil in the bridge position, under which hides a '58 - '63 Telecaster bridge with "Pat. Pend." engraving. The sound of these pickups can be personalized by a Volume and Tone knob and 3-way switch. Overall, the complete Hardware of the Telecaster Custom has been carefully given the relic-ageing look by Fender technology, making this electric guitar a one-of-a-kind from the FenderCustom store.
