With the Human Base Roxy B4 Natural, the forge for fine basses from Waldems presents a straightforwardly designed all-round four-string that not only impresses with its flawless workmanship but also with its high-quality features and comfortable playing characteristics. Human Base relies on a lightweight body made of swamp ash, while maple is used for the six-piece bolt-on neck. Thanks to the flat "C" profile and the contoured neck pocket, grooves and runs up to the highest positions of the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard are smooth and easy to play. On the bass amplifier, the Delano The Xtender pickup in an eye-catching oval housing positioned in the sweet spot provides a powerful yet detailed sound. The mini-switch on the Pickguard can be used to connect the coils of the pickup in series for a powerful sound or in parallel for a more open sound. Furthermore, an active 3-band tone control is on board for precise adjustment of the sound. Last but not least, the Human Base Roxy B4
Delivery took a month to Qatar. DHL gave it to QatarPost. I made a typo in PO Box and QatarPost delivered to that PO Box. Luckily I found tel number connected to this PO Box in Google and finally found my parcel. Otherwise nor a QatarPost neither DHL did not help saying it was delivered already. Also the outer box looked like someone was jumping on it.
Despite all bad experiences with delivery and long waiting time the instrument is very good quality. Straight neck, no sharp frets. The weight more on heavy side. High quality bridge. Very clean preamp, almost zero hiss. Plenty of sounds with eq and series/parallel/passive. Passive switch does not change the volume and very quiet. For those who thinks it’s a stingray - it’s not due different preamp and pick-up, but very close. Came with good set up, done by musicstore (thank you) and nice gig bag way better quality than my fender one. It is still intune after 1 month of travelling! Opened the box and started playing! So far I’m very happy with this bass.
This is a great quallity instrument much better than my Ray34 that I bought last year.
Has very nice quallity and electronics on it and special detail on the craftsmanship.
I suggest this bass if you like the more modern sound of P and a Stingray, actually you can play whatever you like!
