With the Advanced Acoustic series, the Japanese traditional manufacturer expands its acoustic guitar range with a dreadnought acoustic guitar that, due to its 5% larger construction, produces a much more powerful and warmer sound than similar models. The Ibanez AAD170CE-LGS Advanced Acoustic Low Gloss Natural features a body made of laminated okoume, which gives the tone a pleasant warmth that is perfectly complemented by the highly pronounced mid and treble frequencies of the solid Sitka spruce top. In addition, a well-designed X-M bracing provides fast sound development, as well as a rich overtone spectrum. For a great playability, the manufacturer features a flat Nyatoh neck with a fingerboard made of Ovangkol, which is equipped with an extra-grippy low-oval profile. This allows all 20 frets to be easily reached and neatly gripped in tandem with a narrow nut width of 43 mm. A tapered headstock also provides better tuning stability for the 6 steel strings, which run in a straight line over a saddle and bridge inlay made of bone, ensuring clean intonation over the entire scale length of 651 mm. The acoustic guitar is visually enhanced with a fine wooden soundhole rosette and a paper-thin low-gloss finish that allows a deep look at the fine grain of the installed woods. The Ibanez AAD170CE-LGS Advanced Acoustic Low Gloss Natural also provides a natural sound experience on stage, as the magnetic Ibanez AP11 pickup system captures all frequencies equally and passes them on to the amplifier without distortion.
