Five-string electric bass with full neck, 35" scale length and two humbucker pickups
With the Peavey Grind Bass 5 NTB, the traditional American company presents a 5-string electric bass that delivers a tight, perfectly defined bass sound with an unbeatably good price/performance ratio and an extra long 35" scale length. In addition, two humbuckers with passive circuitry promise versatile timbres for every style of music.
The Peavey Grind Bass 5 NTB offers a tight bass sound thanks to its 35" scale and continuous neck, which also reproduces the low B-string in a defined way.
Full-length neck with 35" scale
When designing the Peavey Grind Bass 5 NTB, Peavey pays special attention to a perfectly defined and quickly responding basic sound, which also perfectly reproduces the low B-string. Accordingly, a continuous mahogany/maple neck with extra long 35" scale length (889 mm) is used for the five-string instrument, while the glued-on body wings are made of mahogany. The neck has a pleasantly flat profile that nestles comfortably in the hand, so that every groove goes easily out of your hand when playing the electric bass.
Two humbuckers for the fat sound
The Peavey Grind Bass 5-String is equipped with two Peavey humbuckers in the middle and bridge positions for electrical tone conversion, while the electronics are passive and equipped with individual volume and tone controls. Thus the electric bass at the amplifier delivers a wide range of different timbres, ranging from rocky groove with a striking thrust from the low midrange to dry-funky slap attacks. The low B-string is also integrated into the sound with precise articulation and lively dynamics.
