Under the silver SoftAged finish with red-blue racing stripes and starting number 35, which recreates in detail the subtle playing traces of a lovingly cared-for vintage instrument, here hides a classically built 4-string Bass with first-class handling and a rich tonal spectrum for almost any musical style. In the design of the Special Edition California TT4 Passive Racing Car, Sandberg pays special attention to a lively, sustain-rich tone and comfortable handling that more than lives up to the Special Edition's name. The asymmetrical offset design not only allows the alder body to rest against the body with perfect balance, but the generous lower Cutaway also guarantees unobstructed access to the high registers for solo excursions. The flat "C" profile of the six-piece maple neck is furthermore comfortable in the hand, so that on the 22-fret ebony fingerboard any playing technique can be implemented without any problems.
A Sandberg Black Label Single Coil and the split Sandberg Black Label Humbucker together with the active tone control promise diverse bass sounds.

In middle position, a Sandberg Black Label single coil delivers a full sound with rich low end and well-measured transparency for a clear representation of every note played. The Sandberg Black Label humbucker in bridge position, on the other hand, promises a particularly powerful sound with massive punch and an optimal balance of punchy bass, punchy mids and silky treble brilliance. In addition to the mini switch that splits the humbucker to the classic sounding single coil, Sandberg also equips the electric bass guitar with an active 2-band equalizer for precise adjustment of the sound.
