The 013 Ambisonic microphone is equipped with four 25 mm Soyuz capsules, each with gold-coated diaphragms. These capsules are capable of covering a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and, in combination with the four Soyuz toroidal transformers, ensure unparalleled sound quality. Thanks to a sensitivity of 20 mV/Pa and an impedance of 150 Ω, the microphone is extremely versatile. With a maximum sound pressure level of 143 dB SPL per capsule, the sound fidelity is maintained even at high volumes. The specially developed Soyuz Ambisonic plugins, compatible with any DAW, offer comprehensive control in post-production and allow the sound field to be completely altered and manipulated according to personal preferences, as well as changing the perspective and space after recording.
The microphone is completely handmade and, in addition to the high-quality technical equipment, also offers a practical Set range of accessories. Included are a wooden case, a hard mount, an elastic suspension, a breakout cable, a 3 meter extension cable as well as a plugin license and a bundle. The microphone requires 48 V phantom power and measures 207 mm in length with a diameter of 42 mm. With a weight of 579 g, it is robust but still handy. The microphone is connected by connecting the breakout cable to the microphone socket. The four differently colored XLR plugs at the other end of the breakout cable are then connected to a preamplifier or interface. Care must be taken to ensure that the preamps are identical and matched to each other to achieve the optimum sound experience.
