Dual Input Pulse Shaper circuit for a consistently powerful sound
Can be combined with the Tiptop Audio MIXZ module
TIPTOP AUDIO: SD909 (first run)
Drum modular synthesizer from Tiptop Audio
TheTiptop Audio SD909 module is a clone of the legendary snare Drum and noise generator of the TR-909 for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format. The SD909 uses two binary noise generators and two modulated triangle oscillators, which are voltage controlled. Only the combination of these two components produces the rich sound and wide sound spectrum of the TR-909 snare Drum As with the other drum modules from Tiptop Audio, the SD909 also features the Dual Input Pulse Shaper circuit built into the inputs.
Wide sound spectrum
Thanks to the voltage control of the noise generator and the oscillators, far more sounds can be extracted from the SD909 module than from the original. And thanks to the high power gain circuit integrated in the SD909 module, both the original sound palette and post-processed sounds with sharp attacks and clipping can be exploited to the full.
Dual Input Pulse Shaper circuit
The Dual Input Pulse Shaper circuit enables sounds to be triggered via conventional trigger/gate signals from sequencers, Clock dividers or other pulse/clock sources without having to calibrate the level of the trigger pulses in advance. This allows the module to produce consistently powerful sounds regardless of the trigger signal.
