Javelin from WMD is an ADSR envelope with extended possibilities and integrated VCA. At first glance, you might think it's a normal four-stage envelope if it weren't for the many buttons and connectors. These make Javelin a creative tool for expressive level control. The waveform can be switched between linear, moderate or steep exponential. In addition, there is a loop mode, three-time ranges and two different gate/trigger behaviours. The Accent behaviour is also unique; when several Gates are applied to the Accent input simultaneously, the envelope rises slightly with each Gate. Control voltage inputs for Attack and Release allow contextual modulation of the envelope response. The reset input resets the envelope to zero volts, which is useful when working with slow triggers/tempi and long time courses and wants to trigger this eg. every two bars using a clock divider. The envelope is normalized to the CV input of the VCA, but this can also be modulated independently with a different control voltage.
