The Yamaha DZR & DXS XLF series focus on high-quality workmanship, optimized low frequencies and, above all, wide adjustment options and control via DSP.
The Yamaha DZR15-D is a 2-way bi-amp active speaker with bass reflex, highest sound quality and a maximum SPL of 139 dB.
With Dante, audio data is transmitted with extremely low latency and precise synchronization via an Ethernet protocol. Dante-enabled devices can be automatically detected and configured, making it much easier to set up and manage audio networks. Dante supports uncompressed digital audio, ensuring high audio quality without loss.
The speaker is equipped with a 2" tweeter and a 15" woofer. The frequency range is 34 Hz to 20 kHz and is ideally suited for FOH Main PA. It includes a high-power 2000 W Class-D amplifier module.
The LCD display on the rear panel offers wide DSP functions with more control over individual components, optimizing the use of each unit as a mobile PA or fixed installation over long or short cabling.
Another DSP function is the FIR technology, which consists of Advanced FIR-X Tuning, FIR Filtering and Correct EQ. It enables precise and high-resolution sound reproduction by equalizing the sound in phase.
The DSP function Load Presets is also included to save settings for later use.
The housing of the speaker is lightweight in its class. It is made of durable wood with a high-quality plastic coating.
The speaker can be fixed to the wall or floor using the M10 fixing points. With the M20 flange, the speaker can be positioned over a suitable subwoofer using a stand.
The DZR15, DZR12 and DZR10 models are each equipped with a 90° rotatable horn that enables vertical or horizontal mounting to adapt to the acoustic dimensions of a venue. This means that the dispersion angle can be changed to suit.

Active speakers that already have an integrated amplifier do not require any external cabling between the amplifier and speaker. In this configuration, the connection is already established and pre-installed internally. Users only need to connect a cable between the active speaker and the sound source, such as a mixer. A cable with XLR connectors on both ends or a 6.3 mm instrument cable (not a speaker cable) is often used for this purpose.
This distinction is essential for the correct installation and performance of a speaker system, and choosing the right type of cable will ensure optimum sound quality.
