The
Bastl Instruments MicroGranny 2.5 (Black)
is a Monophonic Granular Sampler in pocket size. Wav Samples are read from a MicroSD Card and MicroGranny adds Granular Algorithms to these. Furthermore, Start and End Points can be defined and the word width can be specified. Samples can be post-processed with Crush and an Envelope (Attack/Release). A MIDI Input allows for external control of all Parameters, as well as the transposition of the Samples. Individual grains can be played and repeated using the semitones of the Keyboard.

Needed a sampler that I could play around with in live performances. The price is good and they are built well. The Bastl web site isn't much help to get started, but with a bit of help from YouTube easy to start playing and experimenting with. I still need to try recording my own samples and using them instead of the ones provided, but I suspect that will be fairly easy as it uses a standard SC. All in a solid device with a loft type sound, but enough functionality to allow you to make them interesting.
