Spruce and mahogany are not among the most popular tonewoods in guitar making for nothing, because their combination in particular produces an extremely defined sound. The mahogany body, for example, produces strong mids and pronounced highs, while the solid top made of Engelmann spruce contributes clear tones and a good treble response. The necessary assertiveness is provided here by the solid construction of the top, which has an optimal vibration behaviour, the large 4/4 body and the traditional fan bracing.
The mahogany neck is another classic. Due to its high stability and acceptable weight, it fits well in the hand together with the C-neck profile and the Pau Ferro fingerboard. Pleasant playability is also guaranteed by the 50 mm wide bone nut, whose dimensions provide the perfect conditions for delicate fingerpicking. and to be able to reach the higher registers without any problems, the guitar has a generous cutaway.
In order to be able to amplify the great sound of the C5-CE SP, the high-quality Fishman Presys II pickup system was installed here, which can be conveniently operated via a side preamp. In addition to volume control and a phase switch, it has a 2-band equalizer for individual adjustment of bass and treble, as well as an integrated tuner for absolute tonal security.
The guitar is rounded out by a classy Natural finish in a high-gloss finish that perfectly highlights the fine grain of the woods. Visual details in the form of rosewood bindings, an all-wood traditional rosette and gold tuners with pearloid tuning wings complete the look and tasteful details that skillfully enhance the design.
