With the EVH Wolfgang Special QM Baked Maple CharcoalBurstEddie van Halen's company presents a Signature electric guitar in a timeless-elegant finish, which with two EVH humbuckers and Floyd Rose tremolo virtually invites to new heights on the fretboard. The construction with a compact basswood body and chic cloud maple top, bolt-on neck made of baked maple with a comfortable profile and the 22-fret fingerboard with compound radius promises a high playing comfort.
Compact basswood body meets maple neck
For the construction of the EVH Wolfgang Special QM Baked Maple, Eddie van Halen relies on tried-and-true ingredients for a rock guitar, having the body made of basswood with an applied top of quilted maple, while the bolt-on neck is made of baked maple and carries a 22-fret baked maple fretboard. The combination of the compact, sweeping body, the comfortable neck profile and the compound radius of the fretboard, which increases from 12" to 16", gives the EVH Wolfgang a comfortable feel that makes any solo, no matter how tricky, come out of your fingers with ease.
The compact EVH Wolfgang Special QM Baked Maple convinces with first-class playing characteristics and hot sounds.
The precise attack of the EVH humbuckers and the articulate string separation provide a tight rhythm sound on the amp.
Wolfgang humbucker and special pots
The tone conversion of the Wolfang Special QM is handled by two EVH Wolfgang humbuckers personally designed by Eddie van Halen. With their hot Output and balanced output across all frequencies, these pickups deliver a fat rock sound that makes every solo sing with endless Sustain. The pickups are controlled by a 3-way toggle switch as well as general volume and tone controls that have different rotary resistances. Thus, the particularly smooth volume pot allows violin-like sound fade-ins, while the more sluggish tone pot is immune to unwanted adjustments.

Floyd Rose with EVH D-Tuna
In addition, the EVH Wolfgang Special is equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo that ensures perfect tuning stability even with the most aggressive dive bombs and squeals. The EVH D-Tuna on the low E-string makes it possible to change the tuning to dop tuning in a flash without having to adjust the Vibrato. At the characteristic headstock sit furthermore precise die-cast tuners, as well as a practical locking saddle, whereby all four strings can maintain a robust intonation.
