The Engl E653 Artist Edition Blackout 50W is a 50W Tube Amplifier Head and a completely black version of the original, which was first reserved for a small handful of famous musicians. The 50W tube amplifier combines 2x channels with a sophisticated circuitry and a straightforward operating concept to become the perfect supplier for classic rock sounds of the highest quality.

Outstanding Sound
The circuitry of the E653 is based on the legendary Ritchie Blackmore Signature Head, but has been tuned with EL34 tubes and changes at key points in the signal path. This Head delivers an authentic rock sound with enormous assertiveness and a British mid-range character. The Clean channel delivers a crystal-clear reproduction and high dynamics, while the Lead channel provides the right sounds for singing leads and driving riffs. In addition to the 3-band tone control, which is perfectly tuned to both channels, a Bright switch for the treble character of the Clean channel and a Shape switch, which determines the middle structure of both channels, are also available. The Engl E653 Artist Edition Blackout also features a Gain switch that influences the Overdrive behaviour of both channels.

Extensive Stage-Ready Features
The Engl Artist Edition Blackout is equipped with an Engl noise-gate, which provides pleasant peace and quiet during breaks even at the highest gain settings. In addition, a loop-in path for external effect devices is offered, whose wet/dry control determines the ratio of original signal to effect. The power amp also features 2x EL34 tubes for an impressive 50W of output power and sufficient volume reserves for every situation, from rehearsal rooms to large stages. In addition, 2x Master Volume controls can be used to set and recall 2x different settings, making it easy to fly from rhythm to lead sound.
