The Fame SM-80A Acvtive Wedge Monitor, an affordable 8” stage monitor perfect for live sound reinforcement.
Fame’s SM-80A active wedge monitor is built around an 8” woofer and 1” tweeter, giving a frequency response between 80 Hz and 19kHz for a clear and powerful sound. A sturdy chassis with a black carpet finish coupled with a tough steel steel grille means it will handle life on the road and be reliable for every gig. Both input and outputs have a single XLR/Jack connection with an indepent control to for the line level.

Excellent sounding monitors, very easy to handle and powerful enough to use as PA in small room gigs.

These really are 'compact'. Incredible portability, but at the same time, the build quality is really solid. They are stable in use, and the connectors appear to be of good quality. We purchased one to try in a small venue, but it performed so well we soon ordered another. We do have some very expensive wedge monitors (many, many times what these cost), but I have to say that the size/weight/performance ratio of these FAME monitors is so good that we usually end up leaving the big-name, expensive monitors at home and we take these instead! Not ideal for bass, or if you play really loud stages, but for most things, especially acoustic music, these are outstanding. Really clear...focussed...sound very good. Absolutely no complaints and I would recommend 100%.
