Hybrid bass amplifier with tube preamp and 800 Watt Class-D power amp
The Hartke LX8500 is a versatile bass amp that combines the benefits of classic tube technology with the convenience of modern Class D technology. Despite its low weight of less than 4 kg, the practical head delivers a whopping 800 watts of power for powerful sounds with stage-ready volume. The tube preamp also ensures a particularly harmonious sound, which can be increased from warm Clean-Sound to juicy Overdrive-Grind to hairy Fuzz using the gain control. For especially precise tone adjustment, the Hartke LX8500 Head offers the classic Hartke tone stack with controls for Bass and treble as well as shape and frequency pots for the midrange. Furthermore, a practical one knob compressor is on board, which smooths out level peaks and strengthens Attack and Sustain if desired. Last but not least, the Hartke LX8500 offers a serial effects loop and a balanced DI-Output with pre/post switch for direct miking of the bass signal on stage or in the recording studio.
