Compact bass head with tube preamp and 500W output power.
The Markbass Little Mark Tube is an extremely flexible bass amp that, as the name suggests, relies on a tube for sound generation. In addition, the handy head has a second transistor preamp and a Class D power amp with up to 500 watts of output power.
Tube and transistor preamp, two inputs
The heart of the Little Mark Tube Bass head is undoubtedly the two-part preamp, which uses a transistor circuit and a tube for sound generation. Both signal paths can be mixed via mix controls, providing bass sounds in a wide range between broadband solid state cleans and creamy tube grind. In addition to the traditional jack input, the bass amplifier has a balanced XLR input with optional phantom power, which makes it possible to connect acoustic basses with sophisticated pick-up systems.
The Markbass Little Mark Tube features jack and XLR inputs with dedicated gain controls, a mix control for mixing the transistor and tube preamps, and 4-band EQ with VLE and VPF for customizing the bass sound.
4-Band EQ with VLE and VPF
The Little Mark Tube bass amp from Markbass features an active 4-band equalizer that allows musical and precise adjustments to the character-defining frequency ranges. Naturally, the VLE and VPF controls typical for Markbass amps complement the tone control. While the Vintage Speaker Emulator always takes treble out of the signal by turning up the VLE pot to give the sound a pleasant old-school tinge, the Variable Preshape Filter emphasizes bass and treble for a modern sound for slapping.
500 watts of power, line out
The Little Mark Tube from Markbass draws up to 500 watts of power from the Class D power amplifier with Mark Proprietary Technology (MPT), which promises sufficient reserves for transparent and powerful bass sounds with a shattering volume reserve. To be able to pick up the bass sound directly on stage or in the recording studio, the bass amp also comes with an adjustable line out in XLR format.
