For the construction of the BFR StingRay 5 Special HH Slugger, Music Man relies on premium tonewoods and the proven bolt-on construction with 34" scale length (864 mm). The ash wood body colors the sound of the bass guitar with a characterful timbre. The five-bolt neck made of roasted curly maple promises excellent playing characteristics in all positions of the Roasted FlameMaple fingerboard thanks to the C-profile with silky oil-wax finish. The absolute highlight of the BFR StingRay Bass also turns out to be the almost wear-free stainless steel fretting in "High Profile, Wide" format.
Two neodymium humbuckers with 5-way coil select circuitry and the active 3-band tone control provide a versatile sound spectrum.

Via the 5-way switch, the coils of the two powerful Music Man neodymium humbuckers can be called up in different combinations, so that no wish remains unfulfilled, from the typical StingRay sound to the authentic single coil simulation. The 18-volt powered 3-band tone control also promises maximum headroom and unmatched detail when it comes to precisely adjusting the timbre. A tasteful detail are also the equalizer's potentiometer caps made of intensely drawn ebony.
