The Shure MV7 Black Hero Microphone provides inexperienced users with a high quality sound that meets professional demands, but can be used as a full recording microphone when demands have increased. The special feature of this microphone is its hybrid configuration as a USB and XLR microphone: The MV7 can be connected directly to the computer via USB or can be used together with a separate interface or mixing console. The MV7 Black Hero is technically derived from the tried and tested SM7B, so there is no need to worry about pop noises and impact sounds. Speech and vocals are always transmitted naturally, but with a certain amount of warmth.
When used as a USB microphone, the Shure MV7 offers the full range of control options expected of a setup of this type: Its headphone output provides the complete input signal and computer audio with almost no latency. Pre-amplification and headphone volume control is done with the supplied software, and gain control can also be automated to avoid hard peaks and distortion. Shure's proprietary Voice Isolation technology also extracts unpleasant sounding room ambience from the audio material, allowing for acoustically less than ideal living room recordings without having to move furniture.
