Classic Vibe '60s FL Jazz Bass (3-Colour Sunburst)
Squier Classic Vibe '60s Fretless Jazz Bass (3-Colour Sunburst)
The Squier Classic Vibe '60s FL Jazz Bass (3-Colour Sunburst) is a 4-string fretless Jazz Bass in the style of the original instruments with the instantly recognisable sound of a fretless fingerboard. A light Poplar body in the typical off-set design and a screwed Maple neck provide excellent tonal properties, while a narrow "C" profile and 38mm saddle width on the neck is particularly comfortable. The fretless fingerboard is made of Indian Laurel, and faint fret-lines make it easier for beginners to phrase their notes safely. 2x Fender designed Alnico single coil pick-ups and the classic passive circuitry with 2x volume controls and treble diaphragm also promise versatile Bass sounds for almost every musical style, from rock, blues, funk or metal. The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Jazz Bass features a 4-saddle bridge with steel string riders and vintage-style tuners.
The main features of the Squier Classic Vibe '60s FL Jazz Bass (3-Colour Sunburst) include:
4-String Electric Fretless Jazz Bass Guitar
Body: Poplar
Neck: Maple
Fingerboard: Indian Laurel
Tuners: Vintage-Style
Bridge: 4-Saddle Vintage Style with Threaded Steel Saddles
Label snobs who turn their noses up at the Squier range, insisting on having the Fender name on the headstock are missing out on a lot. This bass is easily as good as any Fender I’ve owned & better than some. It’s a really versatile bass sound-wise, a comfortable weight & looks great.
The only disappointing thing on my model was that one of the machine heads was bent on receipt. As the bass was very well packed, I believe this had happened prior to despatch & it may be that the seller needs to improve their product inspection procedure.
