The Yamaha TRBX604FM Natural Satin brings a breath of fresh air to the popular TRBX series with its chic curly maple top. In the typical TRBX design, the alder body combines elegant lines with optimum playing comfort, while the screwed maple-mahogany neck lies comfortably in the hand. 2x Yamaha YGD Dual Coil Pickups and an active 3-band tone control, which can be deactivated if required, also provide a variety of sounds at the amplifier. Finally, the Yamaha TRBX605 has a massive bass bridge and precise die-cast tuners.
Elegant Lines with Curly Maple
Based on the familiar TRBX design, the alder body promises a comfortable playing position both on the thigh and with a strap. The classically screwed, 5-part maple-mahogany neck has a slim profile, so that every note on the rosewood fingerboard is a joy to play. Last but not least, the curly maple top and headstock overlay made of the same material provide chic, elegant bass accents.
Yamaha TRBX with YGD Pickups & Active Electronics
On the amplifier, the Yamaha TRBX604 proves to be an extremely versatile electric bass that is applicable to any musical genre. The Yamaha YGD Dual Coil Pickups, which record each string with Alnico Pole Pieces, provide an open, balanced sound that skilfully captures the player’s nuances. An active 3-band tone control is available for further adjustment of the sound image, the optimally tuned frequency bands of which always deliver musical results even at extreme boosts and cuts. If necessary, the equalizer can also be bypassed to use the clear passive sound of the bass.

The Yamaha TRBX604FM Natural Satin is equipped with high-quality hardware whose robust functionality guarantees longevity and playing pleasure. The High-Mass Die-Cast Bridge present on the body is of extremely solid construction, which supports note sustain and sound development. Individual string riders allow an optimal adjustment of intonation and string position. In addition, Yamaha die-cast tuners on the headstock ensure precise and stable tuning.

Great bass for the price, very easy to play, lovely wood and finish. The electronic are top notch. Down side, it did not come with a case or gig bag, a few of the frets needed to be filled down on the side of the neck, not really a problem but it annoyed me.
I love the passive/active switch, super helpful. Very versatile bass. I wasn’t really sure about which colour to go for but I made the right choice. It looks much better than the pics I’ve seen online. The neck is very comfortable. Especially for a 5 string. Well happy with it so far.
I'm a complete beginner, but so far all has been fine. It even comes with batteries included.
