The Alesis Turbo Mesh Kit E-Drum Set is a compact electronic drum set with mesh heads and lightweight aluminum rack. The four 8" pads (3 x tom, 1 x snare) all have mesh heads mounted on them, guaranteeing perfect response and low noise. Bass drum and hihat are each controlled by a responsive controller pedal. The included Turbo Electronic sound module has over 120 modern sounds stored in 10 kits. The cymbal pads in 10", made of hard rubber, are also included. These offer the advantage that there is hardly any noise when playing drums. In addition to 30 training programs, a practical metronome is also integrated, and you can also choose between 30 stored play-along tracks. An external source with 3.5 mm jack is connected via the aux input, USB/MIDI and stereo line out allow versatile use in the studio or rehearsal room.

I have used Alesis products for years so had no concerns about buying the Turbo Mesh kit even though I have little experience with drums and drumming.
So let’s get the disappointments out of the way first, but also let’s bear in mind that this kit did only cost a mere £215!
1: The hi hat and bass drum pedals are not velocity sensitive, it’s on or off so to speak.
2:You cannot adjust the volume of individual drums/cymbals.
The cymbals are very quiet and not sensitive enough, but if you play through a vst plugin on a daw or similar you can tweak the individual volumes of the kit here and remedy the problem.
3:The metronome is too basic, only 2/4 3/4 4/4 and 6/8 available.
But these points aside, it a great entry into the world of drumming.
The build quality is good and the mesh heads are simply fantastic, and ostensibly silent.
The kit frame is sturdy and fully adjustable too so suitable for children or adults.
You can spread out a bit if you have the space or keep things compact.
I would highly recommend this product, and dv247.com.
I have never used them before, payment was simple, delivery was prompt, the item was well packaged, and communication was great.
This product was bought as a Christmas present. When it was received there were a couple of parts missing, which meant it couldn’t be used on Christmas day. I had to wait until afterwards to buy one of the parts and a couple of the parts couldn’t be purchased separately, which in turn affects performance. 5 phone calls and 3 emails later and my request for the missing parts to be replaced have been completely ignored. Unfortunately the kit can’t be used as it was intended!
The kit is easy to assemble, and doesn't take up much space. It was bought because my cancer treatment has left me unable to play my other musical instruments. My drumsticks are taped to a pair of gloves, and so far this drum kit has given me many hours of happiness, because it sounds fantastic, and is so easy to navigate through the settings. Well worth the price, just wish I had longer to enjoy it.!
