The 2600 VCO from Behringer is an analog oscillator with four waveforms and illuminated sliders. The Eurorack extract from the 2600 synthesizer looks very tidy and structured thanks to the controls used. The sound is rich analogue and typical for ARP respectively all its descendants peppered with a certain graininess, which should delight vintage lovers in particular. The frequency range goes from 10 Hz to 10 kHz and is tunable over four octaves. The low mode works in the range of 0.03 Hz to 30 Hz and is not affected by keyboard tracking. For controlling the pitch there are four CV inputs, three of them with attenuators, for modulating the pulse width of the square waveform there is a separate CV input.
