The Levitation V2 pedal from Earthquaker Devices is a retro-style reverb effect pedal named after the Levitation psychedelic music festival based in Austin, Texas, USA. A variation on their popular Ghost Echo, the Levitation has the vintage sound of 1960’s plate chamber and classic spring reverbs.
Set the base size of the reverb using the Length toggle switch, choosing between short or long. The Decay knob tailors the duration of the reverb trail – turning from left to right to extend. Use Atmosphere to enhance harmonic regeneration in the trail, feeding high frequencies back through and allowing the reverb to ring out. Tone is essentially a low-pass filter – anti-clockwise reduces low-end, brightening the output whilst turning clockwise opens the filter and therefore the bottom of the range. Wet/Dry signal can be tailored to suit using the Mix control.
Earthquaker Devices hand make their pedals from Akron, Ohio, USA.
