With the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue VOS Double Gold presents an authentic reissue of this electric guitar. Gibson Custom Shop presents an authentic reissue of the electric guitar that paved the way for the legendary "'Bursts" of the late 1950s. Accordingly, the electric guitar features a mahogany body with maple top and a set mahogany neck in "Chunky C-Shape", with all joints done with Hide Glue. Two Gibson Custombuckers with Alnico-III magnets and a hand-wired circuit with historically correct Paper-in-Oil capacitors evoke furthermore the authentic vintage PAF sounds for Blues and Rock. Last but not least, the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue features authentic Kluson Single Line/Single Ring tuners and the signature Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece combination.

A faithful recreation of the original Goldtop, the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue is naturally built with authentic woods and manufacturing methods, giving the electric guitar a premium sound and feel. The Gibson Custom Shop features a one-piece mahogany body with a maple top, while the glued mahogany neck has a long neck tenon and carries an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The use of glass-hard Hide Glue at the relevant wood joints in combination with the nitrocellulose finish guarantees an optimal sound development. Last but not least, the grippy "Chunky C-Shape" neck profile offers optimal playing characteristics.

The electrical tone conversion of the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue VOS DoubleGold is handled by two Gibson custombuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Equipped with Alnico III magnets and non-waxed coils, the humbuckers prove to be authentic PAF recreations and deliver an especially warm vintage sound. Cleanly articulating basses, a wide and vocal midrange spectrum as well as brilliant highs together with the organic dynamics support expressive electric guitar playing in the clean as well as in the overdrive channel. Thanks to the authentic oil-paper capacitors, the hand-wired circuitry allows for particularly sensitive and harmonious adjustment of the sound.

A high-quality Hardware in the historically correct Vintage-Style completes the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue. Here, the combination of Gibson ABR-1 No-Wire Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece made of aluminum, conceived by Ted McCarty, promises optimal adjustment of intonation and string position. At the headstock, the strings are also guided via the authentic nylon saddle to the Kluson tuners with single-ring wings, which ensure precise and stable Tuning of the electric guitar.
