Sullys LP Studio is based on the popular Tune -O-Matic/ Stopbar -combination for Gibson quick and easy adjustments of string position and intonation. At the other end of the instrument, high-quality Grover Rotomatic mechanics with the large and characteristically shaped grand pianos serve their purpose and keep it in tune at all Instrument times. At Sullyy's request, all Hardware parts were mounted in black.
The Sully Signature is a mercilessly Performance tuned electric guitar for purists. Thus the Gibson Sully Erna Les Paul Studio is reduced to the essentials and equipped with a '57 Classic Plus Humbucker on the bridge, whose hot Vintage character brings both hard crunch and cutting lead sounds with tight attack to the ears. Instead of the Tone potentiometer, the Sully Erna Les Paul features a push/pull switch that activates the integrated Flanger one for wide oscillating sounds and acts as a speed control for the Flanger -effect. Moreover, the Gibson Sully Erna Les Paul Studio is equipped with a practical Kill Switch instead of the 3-way toggle switch to easily switch off the guitar signal at any time.
The visuals of the Sully Erna LP Studio not only represent Sully's ideas of a successful guitar concept, but also reveal a lot about the life of the Godsmack front man. Accordingly, the timeless Schwarz body has Gibson been decorated with the 'Tribal Sun' of Logo the band in mother-of-pearl look, while the double star on the 12th fret and the 3 crescents on the headstock reflect Sully's closeness to nature as a pendant of the Wicca religion.
