For the 2.5" deep resonance body of the G6120TG-DS Nashville Gretsch uses laminated maple wood and the ML bracing, which connects top and back via two columns. Accordingly, the guitar convinces with a full and open sound without being prone to excessive feedback at higher volumes. The slightly shortened 625 mm scale length and the pleasantly slim standard U neck profile of the glued maple neck also promise buttery smooth playing characteristics on the 22 fret ebony fingerboard. In addition to traditional thumbnail inlays, practical Luminlay side dots are used, which guarantee the safe hitting of notes even on dark stages.

DynaSonic single-coils and flexible circuitry with treble bleed on the master volume and no-load tone control provide brilliant sounds.

In addition to separate volume controls for each pickup, there's Gretsch's signature Master Volume, which features a Treble Bleed circuit that prevents tone loss when the volume is turned down. The No-Load Tone pot with "Squeezebox" paper-in-oil capacitor promises not only smooth Treble roll-offs. With the knob turned all the way up, the EQ is completely bypassed, providing a particularly direct sound with full frequency range.
