The Ibanez Iron Label RGDIX6MPB Electric Guitar Surreal Blue Burst is a beautifully crafted and distinctive looking luxury guitar, most often associated with the metal and hard rock genres. The slightly longer neck of this model has been added to allow down-tunings of the strings particularly easy to achieve, for the tunings to remain consistent during performance and for any such tunings to feel natural and comfortable to play. The lengthening of the neck is slight enough not to detract from precise and/or fast techniques (which Ibanez guitars are well known to accentuate). Furthermore, such techniques are well catered for in the extended cutaway, which allows comfortable access to the necks highest notes.
The RGDIX6MPB has a poplar burl top with a layered ash body, a birds-eye maple dot-less fretboard and a pair of DiMarzio Passive/Ceramic Fusion Edge pickups. The eye-catching Surreal Blue Burst finish can be seen on the body and headstock, although the hue has been stylishly left off the curve of the body, leaving the wood of the body visible.
