Basic construction made of resonant mahogany
For the composition of the body and neck, the Jazzcaster M uses mahogany, which impresses with its warm, midrange-based sound qualities and is one of the absolute classics among tonewoods. The bolt-on neck features a slim C-neck profile that provides the picking hand with an adequate base for secure chord playing and precise riffs on the entire composite fingerboard.
P-90 & PC5-B Single Coil
The P-90 pickup in the soapbar housing follows the traditional P-90 pickup design and produces distinctive warm sounds between single coil and humbucker. At the bridge, on the other hand, the PC5-B Single Coil provides typical twang sounds and an airy tone that is ideally suited for both clear cleans and hot rock sounds. Both pickups are controlled via classic wiring with common volume and tone controls.
Solid hardware setup
The hardware equipment of the J & D Jazzcaster M remains true to the proven recipe of the fifties and is made up of a classic TC009 hardtail bridge with the iconic threetailpieces, which ensure direct resonance transmission into the body, and six Der Jung locking tuners. Their practical clamping function contributes significantly to the improvement of tuning stability and ensures lightning-fast string changes.
