The Ludwig Hammered Brass Snare Drum LP422BKT is designed for drummers who prefer a professional instrument with a classical sound character. The 14" x 6.5" brass shell is hammered and gives the LB422BKT snare drum a very complex sound that stands out from the competition with a lot of power and harmonic overtones.
The brass shell of the LB422BKT Snare Drum has a hammered surface, giving the sound a multi-layered and multi-faceted character. Since the hammering pattern varies slightly from shell to shell, no two snares are alike, but each has its own individual sound character. A surrounding bead gives the shell more stability to ensure even very high head tensions.
Harmonic overtones round off the sound and provide a sound that resembles the base of the Black Beauty Snare Drums, but unfolds its full power in higher tunings and captures the listener with incredible power.
The shell of the Ludwig Hammered Brass Snare is fitted with high-quality hardware. The Tube Lugs ensure an even distribution of the tensile forces on the shell, the heads are tensioned and tuned by means of flanged hoops. The P85 is used as the throw-off.
