The Meinl B18DUC 18" Byzance Dual Crash Cymbal is an 18" dual crash cymbal, made from a B20 bronze alloy, with a hybrid finish, and hand hammered construction. The Extra Dry cymbals from the Byzance series are distinguished by particularly deep, earthy and slightly trashy sounds. They are very dry and produce a very short sustain, although its appearance suggests a very loud and sharp tank. The Dual Crash and Crash Rides from the Byzance Extra Dry series offer an untreated, raw area in the middle and a wacky and painted edge with an already visually strong hybrid finish.

Different sized hammer blows cause an irregular compression of the material, which gives the sound more complexity and shortens the sustain. The different surfaces of the dual Crashes and Crash Rides can be used as a different game zones for Ride Patterns and crash sounds, making them suitable for moderate styles such as jazz, funk and R'n'B.
