Bypass was developed in collaboration with Molten Modular and Befaco and is an ingenious way of integrating effect modules into patches. One thing that most effect modules have in common is that they usually have no bypass function, so they are always active. However, an often available dry/wet mix function is no real substitute for simply being able to switch off the effect. After all, even the mixing ratio needs to be carefully controlled. The module is placed at the position in the Patch where you want to have the effect module, here Stereo respectively L/Mono is accepted on the input side, all other assignments are designed for stereo operation. In the next step, the effect module is connected to bypass. Now it is finally possible to switch the effect on/off or (de)activate it sporadically using the button or via Gate. Switching on/off via the Gate signal can even be used in a musical context, for example by triggering the switching process every four bars via the Clock divider. The module also has a hard/soft switch that can be used to separate the return signal from the effect abruptly or with a soft transition. The gain control can be used to increase the level of weaker effect signals.
