With the PRS Custom 24 Orange Tiger, the Maryland premium guitar maker continues the tradition of the model that has been firmly established since the NAMM Show in 1985. Equipped with a solid maple top, PRS 85/15 humbuckers and the typical PRS tremolo, this electric guitar sets both optical and tonal highlights and convinces furthermore with flawless workmanship.
For the construction of the Custom 24 Orange Tiger, the guitar builders around Paul Reed Smith use only selected woods that lead to a perfect sound experience. For example, selected mahogany is used for the body, while the solid curly maple top boasts a characterful and even flame. The glued mahogany neck with its well-shaped "Pattern Regular" profile offers the perfect balance between rich feel and smooth playability. On the rosewood fingerboard, furthermore traditional bird inlays provide best orientation between the 24 frets.
The PRS Custom 24 is equipped with two PRS 85/15 humbuckers, which were developed by Paul Reed Smith himself on the occasion of the company's 30th anniversary. These pickups convince with their clear sound, whose extended bass and treble spectrum offers the perfect basis for classic and modern sounds, from warmly sparkling clean over singing overdrive to pressing riffs. The 5-way switch can furthermore be used to call up different circuit combinations for different tonal nuances:
Position 1: Bridge Humbucker
Position 2: bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker in parallel
Position 3: Bridge- and neck-humbucker in parallel
Position 4: split bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker in parallel
Position 5: Neck Humbucker
The Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Orange Tiger's features are completed by high-quality hardware from our own company. In the body, the strings are held in place by the tried and tested PRS Gen III tremolo, which impresses with its smooth handling and high functionality and, thanks to its rounded edges, provides a comfortable support for the hand. At the headstock, the strings run with a straight pull from the nut to the PRS Phase III locking tuners. These guarantee high tuning stability even with frequent application of vibrato and make string changes much easier. The PRS Custom 24 is also delivered in a premium PRS case, which offers the electric guitar the best possible protection during transport.
