Schoeps MK 8

Microphone Capsule

The Schoeps MK 8 Microphone Capsule features a pure pressure-gradient transducer, a figure-8 polar pattern, a 40Hz-16kHz frequency range, and a maximum sound pressure level of 134dB. This capsule is a true dipole (bidirectional) transducer, operating with a single diaphragm. Its main axis is at a right angle to the capsule, and marked at 0° and 180° with a red and a black dot respectively. The figure-8 pattern offers a near-ideal consistency across the frequency range.
