Takamine GC6CEN Natural Gloss at a glance

With the Takamine GC6CEN Natural Gloss, the Japanese manufacturer presents an outstanding 4/4 concert guitar for beginners, advanced players and professionals alike. Made from selected tonewoods and a solid top, the guitar produces a magnificent acoustic sound for classical playing and is perfect for gentle fingerpicking. Its clever construction with a slim neck and cutaway contributes to comfortable playability, while an integrated pickup also delivers the best sound results when amplified. As if that wasn't enough, the instrument also boasts an attractive design and therefore meets all the criteria that players want for their acoustic guitar.

Partially solid construction

The heart of the Takamine GC6CEN Natural Gloss's sound production is undoubtedly its solid spruce top, which shines with its wonderful overtone spectrum and produces every note played with exceptional precision. Thanks to its solid construction, it has improved vibration behavior, which provides the necessary sound volume. This is complemented by back and sides made from laminated American walnut wood, which adds a balanced tone and makes the guitar a true all-rounder for numerous genres.

The cutaway allows access to all frets.

51 mm wide nut and cutaway

With a nut width of 51 mm, the easy-grip mahogany neck is slimmer than on conventional concert guitars and sits extremely comfortably in the hand. It is therefore perfect for complex fingering patterns and also has a laurel fingerboard for a smooth glide of the fretting hand over the entire surface. Meanwhile, the guitar's full potential can be exploited thanks to the cutaway, which also allows access to the high registers. This means that all 19 frets can be played excellently and virtuoso solos can be performed perfectly.

The TP-4T preamp offers flexible setting options.

TP-4T Preamp

The Takamine GC6CEN Natural Gloss is equipped with the in-house TP-4T preamp in order to score points across the board live. While the pickup provides unadulterated sound transmission to the amplifier, the comprehensively equipped Preamp offers numerous setting options. It has a volume control and a 3-band equalizer for individual adjustment of bass, mids and treble to suit individual preferences and ambient conditions. The system is rounded off by an integrated tuner for lightning-fast adjustment during playing and a reliable performance.

Natural gloss finish and mosaic rosette

The guitar is completed by its traditional natural gloss finish with vintage charm. The fine grain of the wood contrasts uniquely with the black top binding, which sets the top and sides apart from each other in a chic way. There is no shortage of visual details either, as the unusual oval sound hole with its elaborate mosaic rosette provides a skillful accent with recognition value. Finally, the gold-plated hardware in combination with tuning machines with perloid tuning wings creates a harmonious overall picture and demonstrates an unmistakable passion for attention to detail.
