High-resolution recordings at 192 kHz
The TASCAM FR-AV2 is a versatile linear PCM recorder designed specifically for professional audio recording. With its two XLR/TRS combo inputs and ultra HDDA preamps, it enables flexible recording options with up to 192 kHz and 32-bit floating point quality. The device supports various functions such as low-cut filter, limiter and noise gate, as well as timecode synchronization and generation.
The FR-AV2 has a 3.5 mm headphone output located on the front of the device. This output allows direct monitoring of the recorded or played-back audio data. The volume of the headphone output can be individually adjusted via the device's controls to ensure precise sound control. Wireless audio monitoring and remote control can be realized via an optional Bluetooth adapter. The recorder also serves as a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface and supports various microSD card formats (microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC) up to 512 GB. With a battery life of up to 9 hours, a 3/8-inch thread on the underside and the option of timecode synchronization with Atomos products, the device is ideal for mobile and professional use.
