Taylor 714ce-N

The Taylor 714ce-N is very easy to pick up in all frets due to its slim neck construction and cutaway, so that even passionate Western and electric guitarists get their money's worth. The large Grand Auditorium body provides a bass-rich tone that is enriched with fine midrange and clear treble frequencies. Because of the solid tone woods, the sound unfolds very quickly and covers a wide area, which makes the instrument suitable for singer/songwriters for vocal accompaniment as well as for virtuoso fingerstyle acrobatics. The adjusted saddle and the finely notched nut ensure a clean intonation on the entire scale length of 648 mm. In order to be able to pass the acoustic sound on to an amplifier without distortion, the manufacturer installs the in-house Taylor ES-N pickup system with side preamp. The scope of delivery includes a sturdy guitar case.

Construction and woods

The top is made of Lutz spruce and the body of Indian rosewood so that the individual frequencies can unfold in a balanced way. In addition, the top is equipped with a special nylon bracing that allows the tonewood to vibrate powerfully in combination with the ultra-thin high-gloss finish. At the same time the flat mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard guarantees a comfortable grip in all 20 frets.

Hardware and Design

The bridge inlay made of Micarta is exactly adapted to the fine notched 47.6 mm nut made of TUSQ, so that every tone is intonated optimally on the whole scale length. The nickel-plated classical machine heads also guarantee easy tuning of the 6 nylon strings, which are knotted to an ebony bridge. On the outside, the Taylor 714ce-N is decorated with fine abalone reflection inlays and wooden koa bindings that perfectly match the intricately designed soundhole rosette and the natural tonewoods.
