For over twenty years, this unassuming Studio has not only shaped recent music history, but has also left a noticeable impact on pop culture.

Bands such as Fleet Foxes, Death Cab for Cutie and Band or Horses have long since transcended the musical boundaries of this studio, but the unique flair that radiates from everything created here remains unmistakable. Every detail, every sound bears the signature of this magical place.

With the Indiependent SDX, you get the most authentic and versatile collection of drum samples selected specifically for indie music - yet so universal that it inspires beyond the boundaries of any genre.

Pure Vintage drums in perfection

The Indiependent SDX comes from the same legendary sessions as the hugely popular Indie Folk EZX, but here you get the raw, unadorned recordings in their purest form. In addition, this collection offers two more complete drum kits, numerous additional instruments and a total of 16 mixer channels. The result? Five immaculately tuned drum kits, all rare vintage models, with an impressive depth and breadth of sound.

These exceptional kits, dating from the 1940s to the 1960s, were recorded in the harmoniously balanced ambience of the Avast! studio. Using first-class microphones and carefully selected analog studio technology, each sample captures the character of the era. This is complemented by the subtle saturation of one of only 13 Trident A-Range consoles ever built in the world, rounding off this distinctive Vintage-Sound.
