In the VLT shell, the outermost and innermost plies run vertically, rather than in the traditional horizontal configuration. The vertical grain exerts less tension on the shell, allowing it to vibrate more freely. From the VLT technology has been developed DW Drums 333. This 9-ply VLT design has no reinforcing rings and thus has a lower fundamental tone while maintaining maximum resonance and Attack.
