The Fame OM Blackbird offers outstanding features at an unbeatable price-performance ratio.
The blackbird made of abalone in the headstock gives this guitar its name.
A very well selected solid Sitka spruce top on a solid mahogany body delivers a balanced sound with tight but clearly defined basses, nuanced and vocal mids, and fine silvery highs. Thus, this Fame OM Black Blackbird proves to be a true all-rounder for light strumming, flatpicking or fingerstyle and can be used for many different musical styles. In addition, the flat "Slim D" neck profile fits nicely in the hand and delivers comfortable playability, while the compensated bone saddle ensures optimal resonance transfer. For visual sophistication, a maple and mother-of-pearl binding lines the body. Abalone snowflakes have been implemented into the fingerboard and the rosette is made of sparkling abalone as well. A blackbird adorns the headstock of the Fame OM Blackbird which also gives this acoustic guitar its name.
A tone and volume control influence the sound of the Fishman Sonitone.
The vintage-look chrome Butterbean tuners cleanly hold tuning, while the Fishman Sonitone transmits the guitar's outstanding sound to the amplifier with natural balance. Two pots at the top of the sound hole control the volume and tone. Depending on the direction, the tone control produces a brilliant or duller sound. The brilliant sound of the Fame OM Blackbird is ideal for a balanced vocal accompaniment, while the warm and duller sound can rather be assigned to the genres blues or jazz. All in all, an outstanding acoustic guitar at an affordable price.
