These muting accessories are for effectively cutting unwanted ringing or stray resonance during recording sessions, live performances, two-hand tapping or any creative situation where one might need that extra muting hand for intricate chord progression or complex strumming patterns. The adjustable strap lets you fine-tune the pressure and dampening of the strings. No special guitar modification, installation or tools required!

This is not my first purchase of gruv gear fret wraps. They do a great job of muting string overtones when choking the guitar for metal or rock playing on hi gain sounds. Only flaw in the design is the velcro has become a little less "sticky" over years of use and comes undone on its own sometimes. These fit comfortable on the headstocks of all my ESP guitars, but on my strat, it's not as comfortable when getting down around the first fret for certain chord shapes.
Also I did want the zebra coloured one for my white strat, but it didnt really look like a zebra pattern on the one I got anyway. But as I stated above it wasnt comfortable on my strat so I wont be using it on there anyway and it will find a home on another guitar. Worth having spares if using all the time.
