PRS S2 Singlecut Semi-Hollow (Moss Green) Electric Guitar
The PRS S2 Singlecut Semi-Hollow (Moss Green) combines the classic ingredients of singlecut design with a semi-acoustic construction, giving this electric guitar an incredible richness of sound. The Mahogany body has resonance chambers covered by the chic Maple top, whilst the glued Mahogany neck carries a Rosewood fingerboard with the iconic Bird inlays. 2x PRS S2 #7 humbuckers provide a warm vintage sound that skilfully reproduces the characteristics of the semi-hollow construction. The PRS S2 Singlecut Semi-Hollow is equipped with a PRS Adjustable Wrap-Around Bridge and PRS Low Mass clamp mechanics.
Paul Reed Smith uses a Mahogany body for the construction of the PRS S2 Singlecut Semi-Hollow, whose generous resonance chambers together with the Maple top shape the harmonic complexity of the sound. The glued Mahogany neck has a "Pattern Regular" profile, which is not too strongly shaped, offers optimal playing characteristics for classical techniques. The typical Bird inlays on the rosewood fingerboard allow easy orientation between the 22x frets.
The electric sound conversion of the PRS S2 Singlecut Semi-Hollow is realised by a PRS S2 #7 Bass humbucker on the neck and a PRS S2 #7 Treble humbucker on the bridge. Push/pull switches located in the tone controls of the traditional 3-way circuit can also be used to split both humbuckers so that authentic single coil sounds are also part of the S2 Singlecut’s repertoire.
