Speaker with many talents
The Presonus Eris Pro 4 is an active studio monitor with a coaxial driver consisting of a 4.5" woofer and a 1" tweeter. It has several connection options and various protection circuits to ensure uninterrupted operation. For example, the Eris Pro 4 has an output current limiter and protection against voltage peaks to prevent excessive power amplifier output or sudden signal peaks from damaging the speaker. It is also equipped with overheating protection. With shielding against high-frequency interference and a subsonic filter, it also ensures that only the frequency range that is intended to be heard musically demands power from the speaker.
Sophisticated cabinet design
With the Eris Pro 4 loudspeaker, the point driver arrangement largely eliminates time differences between the tweeter and bass driver. This coaxial speaker design results in a significantly larger sweet spot and improved phasing between the tweeter and bass driver. The bass reflex channel with an opening on the front also increases the efficiency in the bass range, which benefits the balance of the sound across the entire frequency spectrum. To prevent cabinet resonances, the Eris Pro 4 is also equipped with optimized internal bracing, which increases the stability of the speaker and thus prevents unwanted vibrations in the cabinet.
Controls:
Input Gain: Adjustment of the input level before the amplifier
High Frequency: Amplifies or attenuates frequencies above 10 kHz and ±6 dB
Mid Frequency: Amplifies or attenuates frequencies in the range of 1 kHz and ±6 dB
Low Cutoff: Reduces the level of all frequencies below the defined cut-off frequency (80 or 100 Hz) with a slope of -12 dB/octave.
Acoustic Space: Attenuates all frequencies below 800 Hz with a slope of either -4 or -2 dB
Standby: Monitor switches to energy-saving mode if there is no audio output for 40 minutes
