With the Victory Amplifiers V4 The Kraken MUSIC STORE Edition, the British amp forge presents a tube preamp in a compact pedal format for the 50th MUSIC STORE anniversary, which delivers the sound of the popular high-gain top thanks to analogue high-voltage circuitry. Here the Kraken pedal provides two channels with common 3-band EQ and global bright switch, with which modern rock and metal sounds of the highest quality can be realized. furthermore offers the Preamp pedal with "Standalone" mode and the "Amp Through" mode two options for connection to the guitar amp.
Four tubes for hot rock and metal sounds
Thanks to the high-voltage EC-900 and CV4014 tubes and the close relationship to the XV The Kraken head, the Victory Kraken Preamp convinces with a wide spectrum of first-class rock and metal sounds that do not lose their contour even with hip drop tunings. Accordingly, the "Gain 1" channel delivers authentic British overdrive, which is ideally suited for rhyhtm sounds with striking mids and lively dynamics. "Gain 2", on the other hand, convinces with almost endless gain reserves and an American aggressive sound character that takes no prisoners and presents riffs with tight response and rich pressure. To adjust the sound, separate "Gain" and "Master" controls are available for each channel, while the 3-band tone control and the Bright switch are available globally.
Two connection methods
In addition, the Victory V4 Kraken offers two different connection methods for connecting to guitar amplifiers and recording equipment. When using the "Standalone" mode, the Preamp is accordingly connected directly to the input of a guitar amp, mixer or recording interface. The "Amp Through" mode, on the other hand, allows you to switch between the preamp of the guitar amplifier you are using and the Victory V4 using the four-cable method so that the familiar sound is complemented by the pedal's high-gain Distortion.
