Elegant, intuitive, flexible - Icons QCon Pro G2 is an effective DAW controller in many ways, which is equipped with various practical features and fits well into any studio environment. For example, 78 assignable buttons are available to the user for a customized workflow, 9 touch-sensitive motor faders, 8 endless controllers with LED rings for position display, jog wheel, illuminated buttons, iMap software for integrated MIDI mapping and much more. The DAW overlays for Cubase/Nuendo, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Pro Tools and all other popular DAWs make working with the QCon Pro G2 even easier.
With the QCon Pro G2 Icon delivers a simple controller, which is a real eye-catcher due to its modern design. This is partly due to the backlit buttons, which can be reached quickly even in poor light, and partly due to the LCD for displaying the channel name, parameter values, etc. per channel. The focus here is clearly on user-friendliness, as the structure does not appear overloaded despite many functions and everyone quickly finds their way even in hectic situations. Equally practical is the generous space between the buttons and the lettering, which contributes to a better workflow and prevents mistakes.
The motorized faders are a special feature that supports every user when working and provides a better feeling when mixing. The length of the tracks also makes it easier to make precise adjustments without large volume jumps. And to be honest: faders that move automatically as if by magic depending on the application...who doesn't think it's cool?
In addition, 8 of the 9 faders are equipped with 12-stage LEDs for level control.
Icons QCon Pro G2 has been programmed to use different DAW overlays for all common DAWs to save the user from manually assigning commands. Whether you use Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Ableton Live, etc., the QConProG2 always adapts to make you feel at home. But what would a MIDI controller be without freedom? Use up to 78 assignable buttons for your favourite functions and adapt the QCon exactly to your needs.
Bought this to use with reason studios.
Solid build quality, works with the mackie protocol to a certain extent, buttons are mapped entirely correctly, but I decided to investigate to modify the mackie remote map in reason to assign the controls more to my liking.
The Setup Guide in the box is incomplete, to see the calibration settings for faders and such you have to download the full manual online from the Qcon Website.
Otherwise can't complain.
I have owned many control surfaces but the price point on this is spot on. Easy install and setup, great build quality and amazing functionality. I’d buy again and will also be purchasing the extra fader extensions!
It the first time I've owned a DAW controller, having previously worked either around an analogue desk or totally in the box. I went with this one because of Icon's claim of it working seamlessly with Cubase... spot on! Now I can use both hands and not just one finger, also more listening and less looking.
Solid and sexy, with all the control I need, plus 8 unassigned buttons to assign 16 functions of my choice.
Ok... so I did get caught out with the arrow on the play button being turned the other way. There I was thinking I actually had something that nobody else (or very few) would have... but it's just how they designed it: intentionally. At least it doesn't play my project in reverse.
I haven't had it for a week yet, but I can see me and my Pro G2 doing great things together. Very happy with my choice!
An exceptional piece of kit. Plug and play, right out of the box… or at least with very little setting up involved.
Excellent value for money and DV247 had the best price around.
Delivered approximately two days faster than what was expected.
Brilliant kit. Brilliant service. 5 stars without hesitation. 👌👍
