The SM110 Control Beater from Drum Workshop is a very versatile beater for bass drums and was originally designed for the DW Direct Drive pedals. It comes with three interchangeable heads: flat felt, rounded felt and flat plastic. Four brass weights of 10 g each can be added or removed as required to optimally adjust the weight and feel of the beater. The Beater head automatically aligns itself to the striking head and thus always guarantees an optimal sound.
DW Control Beater SM110I’m amazed at the different feel that these beaters give to Iron Cobra pedals. The build is excellent and with the removable weights there are loads of options to dial them in. Very impressive.
Highly adjustable. Has 4 brass weights, i use it with 2 weights for speed. Cones with three beater front plates, i mainly use a domed felt one. Head angle easily adjusted with allen key to perfectly align with drum head. Good value and excellent product. I use with both acoustic kit and vdrums.
