Fender Telecaster with 2-Color Sunburst nitrocellulose finish
The Fender '52 Telecaster Super Heavy Relic MN 2-Color Sunburst #R136486 embodies the raw, characterful charm of the first early electric guitar known as the 'Telecaster', which became a true icon over the following seventy years. As an offshoot of the FenderCustom store in Corona, California, the Fender '52 Telecaster Super Heavy Relic not only offers an authentic finish with corresponding hardware parts and traditional wiring, but also the classic look of an original that has been played for decades. FenderDeluxe Hard Shell Case and a signed certificate of authenticity are naturally included.
Ash body & '52 U-maple neck
For the basic construction of the '52 Telecaster Super Heavy Relic MN 2-Color Sunburst, Fender draws on theCustom Shop's high-quality wood selection and uses a particularly fine piece of ash for the body, while the neck is made of maple in keeping with the traditional basic recipe. The expansive '52 style U-neck profile provides a genuine Tele feel, which, in combination with the authentic 7.25" fretboard radius, creates incomparable playability for vintage enthusiasts.
Traditional '51 Nocaster Wiring
The two hand-wound Custom Shop '51 Nocaster single coils in the neck and bridge positions are wired via an authentic '51 Nocaster wiring. In contrast to modern Telecaster circuits, this type of wiring provides a blend control instead of the usual tone control, which allows the neck pickup to be blended continuously with the bridge pickup in switch position 1. Position two offers the sound of the undamped neck pickup, while the third switching position gives it a slight treble damping.
