With the Mike Campbell Red Dog Telecaster MN Red Dog Red, Fender is launching a new signature model for one of the most influential guitarists in US rock history. As the creative backbone of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers for many years, Mike Campbell wrote countless guitar hooks that have long enjoyed cult status. The Red Dog Telecaster is not only his sonic trademark, but with its exotic SHH pickup configuration and the Fender/Bigsby B5 tremolo, it is also one of the most interesting Telecaster variants ever. The Red Dog Telecaster is based on Campbell's original 1972 Tele with an eye-catching Bigsby bridge, two humbuckers in the neck and middle position and a classic single coil in the bridge position. The highlight of the signature electric guitar is the active "Destrict" boost circuit, which can be activated via the special "Destrict" push/push button. This blows a 34 dB gain boost into your amp and provides a clean overdrive effect that can be used versatilely for solos or present riffs.

The alder body was finished with the elaborate Heirloom Nitro-Finish in "Red Dog Red" and combined with a beautiful Hardware. The one-piece maple neck in the "Early '70s C" profile with its 7.25" fingerboard radius and 21 vintage-style frets offers a classic playing feel with butter-soft attack. The Fender/Bigsby B5F tremolo not only rounds off the overall vintage look, but also offers a wide range of tonal expression - from subtle Vibrato to eye-catching accents. Additional details include Fendervintage-styletuners with the "F" logo and a "Mike Campbell" signature on the headstock. The electric guitar is supplied in a high-quality Red Dog Customcase and comes with a strap, picks and certificate of authenticity as well as an exclusive Red Dog neck plate.

The Fender Mike Campbell Red Dog Telecaster MN Red Dog Red is equipped with a Mike Campbell Red Dog Telecaster single coil in the bridge position, while a Mike Campbell Red Dog middle humbuckerand a Mike Campbell Red Dog neck humbucker are installed in the middle and neck positions. This not only allows the iconic Telecaster sound with soft mids and vocal highs to be achieved - the two humbuckers provide a rich sound that is perfect for crisp leads or demanding blues licks. The pickups can be changed via a 5-way switch, while an active "Destrict" boost circuit can provide a 34 dB gain boost. This is activated via a special "Destrict" push/push button, which is located between the volume and tone controls and can be reached quickly if required.
